The VGS ETF invests in a portfolio of large-cap companies from developed economies around the world, mainly the US. This ETF also provides exposure to economies including Japan, the UK, Switzerland, France and Canada. VGAD invests across many industries and avoids being overweight in any one particular industry.

The VGS ETF could be used to build out the core of a portfolio and to diversify away from Australian equities. It may also be suitable for investors wanting exposure to the US market, as the majority of the companies in the ETF are US-based.
