The BetaShares QCB ETF provides investors with exposure to the performance of a broad basket of commodities, hedged into Australian dollars.
QCB aims to track the performance of the S&P GICS Light Energy Index Excess Return (hedged into AUD), which contains 24 commodities across all commodity sectors: 6 energy products, 7 metals, 8 agricultural products, and 3 livestock products. It does this by investing its assets in cash and in return, is paid the performance of the Index by a counterparty via ‘swap’ agreements with one or more financial institutions.
The BetaShares QCB ETF could be used by investors to take a view on future commodity prices or to diversify a portfolio with commodities.
