What does the ASIA invest in?
The BetaShares ASIA ETF invests in around 50 of the largest technology and online retail shares (in terms of market capitalisation) that have the majority of their business in Asia (excluding Japan). These companies dominate e-commerce, telecommunications, IT, software, data processing and computer communications industries in the Asian region (again, excluding Japan). Think technology giants such as Tencent, Alibaba and Samsung.
What do investors use ASIA for?
The BetaShares ASIA ETF could be used by investors to get exposure to a narrow basket of 50 of Asia’s leading technology and online retail companies (excluding Japan). These companies are likely to grow their profits over time and pay semi-regular dividends to their shareholders.
