The Vanguard VMIN Fund is an actively-managed ETF which aims to provide lower volatility than the broader global equity market by investing across many markets and industries.
What does the VMIN invest in?
VMIN invests in a portfolio of companies across global markets and industries that meet certain risk and diversification characteristics. Around half of the companies in this ETF are US-based, but there is also exposure to Japan, China, Canada, and the UK, among others. The VMIN Fund is well-diversified across industries, with no more than a 20% weighting to any given industry.
What do investors use VMIN for?
The VMIN Fund could be used by investors who are seeking long-term capital growth with lower volatility and regular distributions. It may suit an investor who needs global exposure but does not have the risk tolerance to take on the usual volatility of global markets.
